GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

You must be enrolled in a course of study in Australia

You must hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of your stay

You must demonstrate that you are a genuine temporary entrant (GTE)

You must meet the English language requirements
-
You must demonstrate financial capacity to fund your course fees, return flights and living expenses
-
You must be 6 years or older
-
If under 18, you must have a welfare arrangement
-
You must meet health and character requirements.
WHAT THIS VISA ALLOWS YOU TO DO

Study at a CRICOS-registered institution
-
Work up to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods (unlimited work during scheduled breaks)

Bring eligible family members with you if they are included in your visa application
-
Travel in and out of Australia while the visa is valid
-
Apply for a Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) upon completion of eligible courses

FEES AND CHARGES

Government Visa Application Charges

Base visa application charge for most applicants for a Subclass 500 visa is of AUD2,000.00
Additional applicant charge for those who are 18 or over is of AUD1,225.00
Additional applicant charge for those under 18 is of AUD400.00​
