GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

You must have an approved sponsor (temporary activities sponsor)

You must be nominated by the approved sponsor to participate in occupational training program (unless the sponsor is an Australian Commonwealth Government agency)

You must make adequate health insurance for the duration of your stay

You must demonstrate that you are a genuine temporary entrant (GTE)

You must have Functional English

You must meet health and character requirements
WHAT THIS VISA ALLOWS YOU TO DO

Visit or remain in Australia temporarily to complete a workplace-based or professional development training program

Remain in Australia for up 2 years, depending on the training program

Travel in and out of Australia while the visa is valid
IMPORTANT INFORMATION*
Subclass 407 visa holders should be aware that:

They must comply with all conditions imposed on the visa applicant when the visa was granted

They must inform the Department of any changes of circumstances (e.g. if the sponsor ends the training program)

They must obey Australian law

They must apply for another visa if they want to remain in Australia after the expiry date of their 407 visa

If they wish to complete the training program with another organisation in Australia, a new nomination by an approved sponsor will need to be made in relation to the visa holder

If the training program changes, they must apply for a new visa​

Government Visa Application Charges

Base visa application charge for a Subclass 407 visa is of AUD430.00
Additional applicant charge for those who are 18 or over is of AUD430.00
Additional applicant charge for those under 18 is of AUD110.00​
